South Sikkim is a district in the North-East Indian state of Sikkim. South Sikkim is known for a number of smaller tourist destinations. The district headquarter is located at Namchi. Ravangla is another famous destination there. There are a number of village tourism destinations in South Sikkim including Borong.

The lower altitude places such as Jorethang are especially warmer. Rainfall is mostly concentrated in the Monsoon months of July to September with average rainfall being about 163 cm.
